Tile Direct Conditions of Sale

 

Tiles are not guaranteed against crazing. Any guarantee for material, tiles, adhesives, additives, etc. shall only be given to the extent of that given by the Manufacturers.

 

Due to the nature of ceramics, it must be anticipated that shade variations occur between shipments, and between base tile and online borders. Natural products such as marble, granite, stones, terracotta, etc have shade and pattern variations from tile to tile which must be anticipated. It is recommended that natural products be sealed.  Wall and floor borders, features and inserts that are not online could vary in thickness from body tiles, which must be anticipated.  We ask you to contact us prior to laying the tiles. No responsibility will be accepted once tiles are fixed.

 

Please ensure you have ordered sufficient tiles to carry out the necessary works and you have spare tiles should repairs be required. Tile Direct does not guarantee that any further supply of the same items will be available or if available to be of the same shade.

 

Tile Direct recommends that after the installation of tiles that the customer ensures tiling works be protected with the appropriate measure against unwanted damages. It is possible for certain tiles to be scratched. Tile Direct will endeavor to minimise any scratching during installation however is not liable for any claim relating to damage caused during or after the installation.

 

No claims for defects, incorrect shade or short supplies are recognised after tiles are installed.

 

No responsibility will be accepted by Tile Direct Pty Ltd for damage that occurs from the incorrect use of cleaning products and or cleaning acids that are not recommended by the Manufacturers.

 

Credit will be given on the following conditions

 

a.    Returns must be made within 30 days accompanied by original invoice.

  1. Goods accepted for credit and cancelled orders are subject to 20% handling fee.
  2. Goods will only be accepted if returned in unopened boxes and in condition for resale.
  3. Any freight is the responsibility of the purchaser.
  4. Goods must be of current stock, shade and size.
  5. No claims accepted for tiles that have been soaked in water or wet from rain.
  6. No credit will be issued on products where special price has been agreed.
  7. No claims allowed on purchases unless accepted by suppliers or manufacturers.

 

Title of goods purchased does not pass at law until payment in full of the account of which the goods relate. The seller remains owner of the goods until all monies owing by the buyer are paid in full and may take possession of goods if they are not paid for in full.

 

After acceptance of tile selections and where applicable any extra payments have been made, no changes to selections will be accepted as the job is in progress. If in the unlikely event that the customer or their representative does request a change prior to delivery of tiles, a reorder/repacking fee of $500 will apply.

 

Acceptance of our goods, services or quotation is automatic of these terms and conditions

 

Tile Direct can not guarantee and takes no responsibility for dimensions, estimates, quantities, quotes or measurements provided by the customer, the customers representative or any employee of Tile Direct staff for supply or fixing of tiles.

 

Tile Direct reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order, for any reason especially in circumstances where by orders can not be fulfilled and are beyond its control.

 

Deposits paid by the purchaser are non refundable. Any accounts not paid within the time specified on the invoice or seven (7) days of delivery will be liable for interest at the rate of 15% per annum. Such interest will be added to the account (capitalised) at the end of each month and form part of the principal debt.

 

Any accounts outstanding for more than sixty (60) days will be liable to meet in full the sellers debt recovery. Legal costs and/or commissions and internal accounting charges (recovery fees) and such recovery fee will be added to the buyer’s account and form part of the principal debt.
